iPhone App Pricing

⚡24hr Delivery iPhone App Pricing

Why will I earn a different amount from 24hr videos booked on the Cameo website vs. in the iPhone app?

Apple takes a 30% commission in-app purchases of digital goods, and a Cameo video is considered a digital good. Rather than earning 75% of the price you set (as you do on Cameo.com), you’ll earn 75% of your price after Apple takes its commission.

Why won't my 24hr pricing be the same on the website in the app? 
Apple allows for only a limited number of price points in the app. We'll find the Apple price closest to your current price by rounding up to determine your price in the iPhone app. 

How can I find my 24hr IOS price in the iPhone app? 
Your 24hr price in the iPhone app - the Apple price closest to the one you set by rounding up will be reflected on the iPhone app beginning June 2nd. 

After June 2nd, you can open your app, tap on your profile. Scroll down to "Change Price" and tap it. Then tap "24hr delivery price."  Your total IOS 24hr price for Cameo video price is listed under "App pricing." 

For your convenience, see the table below as an example of how prices are adjusted for the total 24hr price.

Can I still change my price at any time?
Of course! To change your price, open the app and tap on your profile. Scroll down to "Change Price" and tap it. Then tap "24hr delivery price." Adjust your price by entering a new percent fee next to "Set 24hr additional fee." 

Can I opt-out of offering 24hr delivery on the iPhone app?
At the moment, the only way to opt-out of 24hr delivery on the iPhone is to opt-out of 24hr delivery completely. As a result, we highly encourage you to remain available for bookings on the iPhone app to reach even more fans. Although you'll earn slightly less from each Cameo purchased in-app, you should expect to receive more bookings overall. Please reach out to talentsuccess@cameo.com for more assistance.

Which purchases are impacted by Apple's 30% commission?

It only impacts purchases made by customers on the iPhone app, which currently account for ~3% of all purchases. It does not impact bookings completed on your iPhone if they were booked by customers on our website.

Will the IOS pricing impact purchases made on a customer’s phone on mobile web (cameo.com) or the Android app?

Nope. In fact, most purchases are made directly on cameo.com (from both mobile and desktop). This pricing change applies only to Cameo’s iPhone app.

How can I find my new price in the iPhone app?

If you have an iPhone, open the Cameo app on your iPhone. Click the magnifying icon on the bottom left. Type your name in the search bar. Your profile should pop up with your new price. See below for all prices offered by Apple. If you have questions please email talentsuccess@cameo.com.

24-hour delivery

What are 24hr Delivery Cameos?

24hr Delivery Cameos is a new fan experience on the Web (desktop and mobile) that offers 24-hour delivery as a paid add-on for Cameo orders.

How does it work?

Fans pay an increased price to get their Cameo within 24 hours. If the request is not fulfilled within 24 hours they get a full refund of the Cameo and 24-hour price. 

Can I change my price?

Yes, you are in full control. You can adjust your price whenever you want.  If you want to change your price, you can go to your account in the Cameo app > change price > 24-hour delivery price and adjust your pricing on this screen.

Can I turn this off and on whenever I want?   

Yes, you are in full control. If you want to adjust your availability, you can go to your account in the Cameo app > change price > 24-hour delivery price and adjust your availability on this screen.

How will I know if I received a 24-hour delivery? 

We move the request to the top of your queue. The request card is highlighted and shows the updated pricing of the request. 

Business Pricing 

What is Business Pricing? 

By enabling a business price, companies can request Cameos from you for an increased price for things like virtual event kickoffs, employee recognition, and even the occasional external marketing content. You can find out more about business pricing here.

How does it work? 

A Business can request a Cameo from you, for a business need, at an increased price. As with any Cameo, these requests are placed in your queue and you can choose to accept/decline these requests. 

Can I change my price? 

Yes, you are in full control. You can adjust your price whenever you want.  If you want to change your price, you can go to your account in the Cameo app > change price > Cameo for Business price and adjust your pricing on this screen. We suggest setting your business price to be 7x your Cameo price. 

Can I turn this off and on whenever I want? 

Yes, you are in full control. If you want to adjust your availability, you can go to your account in the Cameo app > change price > business price and adjust your availability on this screen.

What is Watch? How it works?

Watch took center stage at this year's Product Show with a preview of watch OS 2. The next generation of Watch software is packed with features that just might turn the device from a nice-to-have into a must-have. If you already own an Apple Watch, you'll have to live with the old software until fall. You’ll love it at the first use.

How the watch is made?

Watch has an anodized aluminum case (which is lighter than stainless steel) in silver or space gray, and the face is Ion-X glass, which also designed to be hard and rugged (as well as a little bit lighter) than the sapphire. It’s definitely the lightest of the three Apple Watch editions, making it an ideal exercise companion.

Can I swap out the watch band?

Absolutely. Watch comes with six bands that are easy to mix and match any band with any watch. You can swap them out as your heart desires without the aid of any tools—as long as the band and watch are the same size. (The Leather Loop band, for example, only fits 42mm watches, not the smaller 38mm size.)

So it’s a watch and a fitness tracker?

The accelerometer lets the watch count your steps, and it extrapolate distance on its own, or rely on the GPS in the paired Phone to trace your exact route. That step data comes in handy for two of the apps included on the watch: Activity and Workout. Both of the watch’s fitness apps sync data back to the Health and Fitness apps on your Phone.
